Jill Heather Lozano, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, at the age of 82.
Jill was born on March 19, 1944, in Ipswich, England, to Owen and Kathleen Pickett. In 1971, she met the love of her life, Richard Lozano, while he was stationed at R.A.F. Bentwaters with the United States Air Force. They were married on July 22, 1972, beginning a devoted partnership filled with love, resilience, and adventure.
As a proud military spouse, Jill dedicated herself to supporting her family through many relocations and deployments over Richard’s twenty-year career. In 1974, they were assigned to Sacramento, California, where she continued to build a warm and loving home. Though she made her life in the United States, Jill always held her British roots close to her heart, enjoying English news, television, and special treats from international markets.
Jill loved simple pleasures—shopping, crafting, cooking, and creating treasured family traditions. Her kitchen was always full of love, and her meals—especially tamales, shepherd’s pie, salads, and peanut brittle—were enjoyed and remembered by all.
A talented and creative spirit, Jill had a remarkable ability to bring her ideas to life, and her children and grandchildren were often the lucky recipients of her thoughtful creations.
Nothing brought Jill more happiness than her family. She cherished attending her grandchildren’s and great- grandchildren’s events, celebrating their milestones, facetiming and encouraging them every step of the way.
Jill will be remembered for her warmth, strength, creativity, and unwavering love. She was truly the heart of her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard; her children, Robert, Mark, Kelly, and Heidi; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Dale.
