Joan Marie Meinhold

Joan Marie Meinhold, age 65, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Friday February 28, 2020. She was born on February 14, 1955 in Island County, Washington to her parents Theodore William Meinhold and Maurine Loretta Meinhold (Radford).

Joan grew up in Langley, a small town on Whidbey Island, Washington. The youngest of seven children, she enjoyed an idyllic childhood close to nature and animals. She was a class of 1973 graduate of South Whidbey High School. As a caregiver, she lived in Santa Barbara, California; Rigby, Idaho Falls, and Moscow, Idaho; Seattle, Washington. Joan spent her last years in Henderson, Nevada.

Joan loved puzzles, family history, watching sports(Seattle Seahawks), movies, taking care of her pet birds, reading, teaching Primary at church, writing letters, and spending time with her brother, Rob and her numerous nieces and nephews.

Joan is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Maurine(Radford) Meinhold; and her brother and sisters: Theodore “Teddy” Meinhold, Sharon Meinhold, Barbara Cheney, and Shirley Meinhold. She is survived by her sister, Eileen Wilson; brother, Robert Meinhold; and brother-in-law, Jim Cheney.

A visitation for Joan will be held Monday, March 9, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM both at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - Day Saints, 400 South Water Street, Henderson, Nevada 89015. Joan will be laid to rest on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Logandale Cemetery, West Cram Avenue, Logandale, Nevada 89021.
