John was born January 3, 1937, in Houston PA to Elmer Bush, 1978 and Laura Ann (Coles) Bush 1981.
John graduated from Chartiers High School Class of 1954, Houston PA.
On July 23, 1954, John joined the United States Air Force at Senaca Lake NY Sampson AFB. John spent twenty years in the Air Force. He was assigned to AL, TX, Japan, NC, VA, FL, TX, NY, CO, Vietnam, TX and NV. He retired on August 1, 1974, from Nellis AFB, Las Vegas. John received The Purple Heart April 1968 while in Vietnam. In March of 1975 John started a Career in The US Postal Service as a Letter Carrier, he completed 25 years and retired on June 1, 2000. He enjoyed his position and all the customers. "He delivered the letters."
John spent 35 years with his loving wife, John loved Chris, everybody knew that. Cats and dogs and DIY projects filled his days. He enjoyed playing "Penny" poker on the video slot machines. He loved traveling, spent 32 days on a road trip coast to coast 2019. Since 1999 a yearly trip to Northern NY was enjoyed seeing Chris' family until Covid. John and family attended the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena since 1983. John was an avid roller coaster rider. He loved music of all kinds, except maybe Opera, John loved his GOLDEN KNIGHTS!
Proceeding him in death his brothers Robert, 1979; Clifford 1989, Paul 1998 and Sister Mary Christine Greene 2018. Niece Sharon Hunt and most recently Nephew Douglas Bush.
Leaving his wife to carry on Ann Christine "Chris" Bush, Daughters Kim Bush, Las Vegas, Rani Bush, New Mexico, Christine Casas (Chad), Las Vegas, sons Aaric Dishaw, Las Vegas and Craig Myers, Henderson. Granddaughters Constance Fennell, Henderson, Enna Dishaw, Las Vegas, Emalie Casas (Trevor) Denver, Sami Casas, CO and Ashley Casas Kerns (Matt) WA. Also, Great-Granddaughter Luci Vasquez, Henderson and three Great-Grandsons Otis, Ulysses, and Cassius Reese. Many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A Memorial service for John will be held on Wednesday, November 08, 2023 at 10 am at Palm Henderson Mortuary 800 S. Boulder Highway Henderson, NV 89015. John will be laid to rest at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Parkway Tuesday December 19, 2023 at 11:20 am.
