

John Lee Fuller, age 89 passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024. He was born on November 20, 1934 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to his parents Irwin and Phyllis Fuller. John was raised in North Dakota, Iowa and Illinois with his siblings. In school he participated in diving, trampoline, and swimming. In his spare time, he spent his time with his childhood friends and in the outdoors. John spent his first two years of high school attending Community High School in Illinois; but graduated in 1952 from Central High School in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
In December of 1952, John enlisted in US Air Force. Throughout his tours of duty, John was stationed at various bases in California, Maryland, Texas, Oklahoma, England and Utah. He worked as an autopilot mechanic, and within the armament and electronics divisions. John served honorably in the US Air Force, obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant and earning a Good Conduct Medal with two bronze stars, Air Force Longevity Service Award with one bronze oak leaf cluster, National Defense Service Medal, and Air Force Outstanding Unit Award.
On October 31, 1953 John married the love of his life, Delores, in a civil wedding in Norman, Oklahoma while serving in the US Air Force. Together the the couple were blessed with three children. And as their families grew, they were blessed with three grandchildren.
Following his honorable discharge from the US Air Force, John went on to obtain work in January of 1963 at Timet in Southern Nevada. This would be the beginning of a long and successful career. He worked as a technical supervisor until retiring in December of 1990.
John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was known to many as Mr. Fixet, as he was extremely mechanically inclined. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, camping and fishing, taking road trips to visit family, and Boating. He was a good provider, patriot, and leader and will truly be missed by all of those closed to him.
John was preceded in death by his his wife, Delores; his parents; two sisters and one brother. he is survived by his children: Stephen Fuller, Robert Fuller, and Linda Mogren (Roy); and his grandchildren: Nathaniel Fuller, Karen Mogren, and Lisa Hall (Nicholas); and one brother.
A military honors service for John will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 from 10:40 AM to 11:10 AM at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, NV 89005.
