John Martire

John Martire, age 77, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024. He was born in Los Angeles, California to his parents Samuel and Angelina Martire on September 11, 1946. He enlisted in the US Air Force, where he served an honorable and distinguished career, retiring as a Master Sergeant.

After his service, John worked in retail for a few years, prior to starting another career working for the US Postal Service in 1991. John would serve the next 20 years working for the US Postal Service, retiring again in 2011.

John was a loving husband and father, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He liked to golf, bowl, fish, travel, and playing Mahjong with his family. John lived his life to the fullest, loved and served his country with honor, and will truly be missed.

John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carmen; by his children: Sean and Cerin; his sister, Christine (Kevin); and extended family.

A Service of Honor will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada.
