
John Joseph Vaccaro, Jr., born in 1940 in New Orleans, LA, died suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 75 on November 16, 2015, with his wife of 48 years at his bedside. He is the son of John Vaccaro Sr. and Mary Harmeyer Vaccaro. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Vincent Capra and sister, Emelda Capra. John has been a resident of Clark County since 1960. He served fours in the United States Air Force as a radio operator stationed in Korea and Japan. In his younger years, he was employed in the casino industry and then owned a construction company until retirement. He is Survived by his wife, Sandra, children, Michael (Cindy), John III (Cathy), Tracy, Denise (Harold) Schlumbrecht and Michelle (Reiner) Wittich. Left behind are eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, cousin Violet Champagne, who was more like a sister, and Godchild, Gina Foret. He spent the last twelve years of his life living in Boulder City where he was ten minutes from his front door to his pontoon boat on Lake Mead. Being out on the lake fishing was a great joy to him as was sitting in his recliner with the dogs watching football. No services are planned per his request.
