Josephine Prisbrey

Josephine Empey Prisbrey, 80, of Henderson, Nevada. Josephine was born in St. George, Utah on April 20, 1933 and passed away on March 6, 2014. She spent her first 21 years in St. George and moved to Henderson on September 15, 1954, when she married her love, Waldo Loran Prisbrey. Josephine “Jo” was a very loving and caring wife and mother. Josephine was a strong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has held many callings and has influenced many lives of children. She worked for 4 years for the Clark County School District as a food service worker. She only worked outside the home for the years that her husband was ill. She was a proud homemaker and loved the fact that she was able to care for her family. She taught her children to value God and family. She was preceeded in death by her Spouse Waldo Loran Prisbrey, Daniel Joseph Prisbrey(49), and Roy Scott Prisbrey( 1 hour 45 min.). She is survived by her son Loran Lee Prisbrey(wife, Bobbie), Linda Marie Wilt(husband, Robert) and Cindi Gilles(husband, Bert). She has eight grandchildren, Roy Lewis(wife, Katy), Brian Lewis, Tiffany Lewis, Katrina Ransom(husband, Michael), Chad Gillis(Wife, Sarah), Tiffany Gillis, Vance Gillis, Yvette Elder(husband, Adam), and seven great grandchildren. The viewing will be held Tuesday March 11, 2014 at Palm Mortuary 800 S. Boulder Highway, from 4pm-7pm. The funeral will be held Wednesday March 12, 2014, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 303 Cholla street Henderson, NV, at 10:00AM. There will viewing immediately prior to the funeral from 9:00AM to 10:00am.
