My dearest Karen,

One year ago today,  (actually yesterday because it was a leap year), you left this world as we knew it.  Not one day goes by that I don't miss you with every fiber of my being.  I miss you so much and there aren't words to even describe how surreal this last year has been with you gone.... You were my best friend, my confidante, my everything.  My world has never been the same without you and never will be.  I love you will all my heart and miss you more than words could ever express.  We had a great run, but it was cut way too short..... I know you are at peace, and for that I am grateful.  I will always be honored to have had you for a best friend,. You were a part of me, and life without you will never be the same.  I love you my friend and will miss you forever and ever.....

I spoke with Lew today after the service, who was unable to join us in person, and let him know how beautiful the flowers were and how much he was appreciated.

It was truly an honor to place Karen into her final resting place surrounded by family and friends.  Karen had an amazing circle of friends and people that loved her.  It has been an honor to talk with and meet so many of the people in her life that I heard about over the years....

You will be missed my friend by so many......

You left us way too soon, and I still cannot believe you have passed. I miss you so much! You were the best friend to all of us, and we loved you dearly. We had a special relationship that I will cherish forever. I will miss your genuineness and kindness, your purity and innocence.  I miss everything we talked about and shared almost every day.  My world will never be the same without you, but I am grateful to have had you in my life.

No day will ever be the same without you..... you were my rock, my best friend and such a big part of my world. 

You were the friend that was always there to share anything and everything with... we laughed, cried, complained and shared daily happenings and everything else.  Not talking with you every day has been surreal if I had to put it in words.  I still talk with you all the time, but your spirit is what hears me now....

You will be honored, cherished,  respected and loved forever!!  You would be so happy to know that Jada has a wonderful new family.... Your legacy lives on for sure.

Never does a day go by that I don't feel your absence....  I love you my dear friend, RIP!

I will be speaking to honor your life and legacy on January 11, 2025 when you will be laid to rest with your parents at Palm Mortuary.

If anyone has memories or knowledge of Jada and Karen, would love to hear and see them posted.  The first night she was with us, Jada jumped in bed, put paws on my husband’s chest, then cried and cried - missing Karen.    They must’ve had a super special bond.

We are blessed to have received Karen’s German Shepherd, Jada. 
Jada is a beauty, a protector, so smart and lovable. Though we never knew Karen, never heard of Karen, her will asked that Camp Bow Wow find a home for Jada.  Through NextDoor, the search for a new home for Jada crossed my feed. After some hesitating and thinking, we took this 4 year old beauty home to join us with our 4 year old GS, Max.  The 2 are happy together, running, playing, bickering. Jada is safe and sound - so grateful she’s in our family.

My dear dear friend for over 30 years. I will miss you greatly. You always had an uplifting message and a love for life.

Ms. Welsch, my high school biology teacher from 2004-2005, was an amazing educator. She was an organized leader who really helped me when I was in her class. I wasn't the easiest student to deal with, but her dry sense of humor and lectures always kept me engaged.
