What a shock!  I will miss our laughs about the "old days," whining about her pastry, her crazy love of rats, the huge love of family we shared,and of course nursing.... ah yes, Florence Nightingale had nothing on her! Oft misunderstood but forever loved.
David, you were the love of her life and she lived to make you and the kids happy and whole.

Kathy was a great leader at work. She always made me feel like I was her "favorite". I'm guessing I'm not the only one she made feel that way :). She was always so proud of her family and would tell everyone the latest news and would bring pictures to show off. I will miss her unique personality that I can't find adequate words to describe. She was always there to put her arm around me and guide me when I needed a helping hand. She was so laid back and easy to work with and made my time spent at work very enjoyable. She always had my back and made me feel very safe at work. I loved how we also ran into each other on Saturdays with our families at the Pancake House. I believe with all my heart that we will one day be able to greet all of the loved ones that have passed on before us as we too pass on from this life. I will miss her dearly and am praying for comfort of her dear husband and family.

Kathy you became a part of my family in 2005 and you will remain a part of my family.  Your love for Eeyore will live on through me I can promise you that.  You will be missed and we will all see each other again.  Say hello to my uncle.

The family pictures tell the story of a life well lived.  I knew Kathy all through school and she was always kind and wonderful. I'm sure her family will keep her alive in their hearts and minds all the days of their lives. May God grant you peace in knowing that she lives on with him.

I have had the pleasure of working with Kathy at a couple of different times and places but I can't believe she is gone.  My thoughts are with David and the kids.  She will be missed.  Traci Sustello.

I met Kathy at Sunrise PACU 13 years ago. I will always remember her for one of the people I could count on to watch my back with the adult patients when I had to work on the adult side. To Kathy's family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.Sandy Partusch
