Katie D'Anne Thompson

Katie was born in Westminster, CO. to Larry and Alice Thompson on November 24th, 1987. She graduated from Basic High School in 2006 and continued on to a trade school where she became a Certified Microsoft Office Specialist in 2008. Later on she became an Animal Emergency Response Specialist in 2012 and a Certified Dog Groomer in 2014. From there she worked grooming dogs for 2 years. She then moved on to work for Limolive24 for 3 ½ years, eventually becoming a Supervisor. She loved her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews, and was very patriotic and appreciative of veterans and their service. She also loved animals, especially dogs. She loved music, playing piano, traveling, and spending time with family.

Katie was preceded in death by her Grandfather, Gordon B. Porter of Brookings, OR; her cousin, Melinda L. Stevenson of Eureka Springs, AR; and Ellie Mae Thompson. She is survived by her father and mother Larry and Alice Thompson of Henderson, NV; her sisters: Jessica Freeman of Logandale, NV and Jamie Thompson of Los Angeles, CA; her grandmother, Donna Porter of Henderson, NV; her nieces and nephews: Cinjin, Avery, Prentice, Teegan, Alexi, and Iliana; her aunt, Terri Little; and her cousin, Jennifer Little.

A memorial service and luncheon will be held in her honor Saturday, June 1st, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel located at 401 Palo Verde Drive, Henderson, NV 89015; across from Basic High School. All are welcome to attend.
