Remember the Life of Leonard Guzman

Leonard was a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, and passed away peacefully at home on August 11, 2026, at the age of 89.

He pursued a career in medicine and graduated from a medical university in the Philippines.

He soon began to court his future wife, Lilia. He made many trips to her hometown to woo her with flowers and gifts, and they were eventually married.

Leonard and Lily soon started their family and spent time between the US and the Philippines, depending on where Leonard was stationed for work as a surgeon.

Over the years, with grandkids coming along, Lilia and Leonard opened their home to parties, celebrations, and family visits! Lily would ensure that all who visited were well fed with lots of food, especially her Filipino dishes, like pancit, adobo, lechon, and her famous bibinka!

They both enjoyed many visits to downtown Las Vegas at their favorite spot of Circus Circus. Leonard would try his luck and knowledge at the sportsbook area while Lily would press her luck at the slots!

Aside from enjoying the time with family and friends, Leonard enjoyed fishing during his younger days while Lily put her talents to pottery!

Leonard enjoyed watching sporting events on TV, from Warriors basketball to the Las Vegas Aces! Lily would escape outside to garden. She had an amazing green thumb and loved to cultivate new plants!

They both had a talent and passion for playing Mahjong with the family. Both were competitive when we played, and the family has carried on the love of Mahjong to the grandkids!!

Leonard and Lilia are preceded in death by their parents and their daughter Leolie. They are survived by their sons Marveric and Leonard, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson.
