Leopoldo Altre Adaoag Jr., aged 73, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, at 5:21 a.m. at his home in Henderson, Clark County, Nevada. Born on May 3, 1952, in his childhood home in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, Leopoldo lived a life distinguished by dedication, integrity, and a profound commitment to family and community.
Born to the late Juanita Galam Altre and Leopoldo Ramil Adaoag Sr., Leopoldo was the devoted husband of Rosaflor Laciste Adaoag. Leopoldo and Rosaflor were united in civil marriage on November 19, 1970, in Manila, Philippines, followed by a church marriage on June 24, 1971, at Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish in Bacarra, Philippines, and were sealed for time and all eternity in the Laie Hawaii Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on October 15, 1982. Together, they raised four children: Joyce Anne, Darryl, Leopoldo III (Tesslene), and Shanalei (Ethan). He was a proud grandfather to seven: Joruelyn (Samuela), Elijah, Jaramie, Mykah, Myra, Victoria, and Siena. Leopoldo is survived by his siblings: Jaime (Enriqueta), Felino (Violeta), Nestor (Sophie), Fred (Estefania), Erickson, Marino (Leonora), and Jesusa (Felix); and his sister-in-law, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Eden (Virgilio) and Floresco.
Raised in Bacarra, Leopoldo excelled academically, earning Honor Roll recognitions and pursuing college studies in accounting. His early years were enriched by participation in baseball, basketball, and community organizations such as Gamma Kappa Phi and the Cub Scouts, where he served as a scout leader. Professionally, Leopoldo built a diverse career in masonry, construction, logistics, ornamental iron, and manufacturing, with notable tenures at Tokunaga Masonry, UPS, and Del Webb. Beyond his primary occupations, he was a true jack of all trades, helping many with their projects by improving processes and finding creative solutions to solve problems.
Leopoldo expressed creativity through poetry, wordsmithing, and handwriting, crafting words with artistry and depth. In his early years, he enjoyed socializing with friends, dancing, and occasional gambling. Later in life, he cherished maintaining connections with childhood friends, spending time with immediate and extended family, and watching movies. An accomplished harmonica player, he brought joy through music, and his keen sense of style complemented the elegance of his pageantry-winning wife, Rosaflor. Known for his integrity, humor, and love of storytelling—often sharing memories of his childhood in the Philippines—Leopoldo was a man of his word. Although there were times he was a strict parent in disciplining and teaching, he had high aspirations for his children’s accomplishments and growth, instilling values of hard work, love for family, and personal development. His warmth extended to his many nieces and nephews, whom he delighted in entertaining, leaving a lasting legacy of love and laughter.
A visitation for Leopoldo will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Palm Henderson Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
