For Livia "Lee" Ford of Henderson, Nevada, her laughter was also a special gift, one she shared happily with others throughout her entire life.
Despite her petite frame, Lee had the heart of a lion and the powerful laugh to match. It was as infectious as her spirit was contagious to everyone around her. When Lee laughed, you not only laughed with her, you felt her joy spreading through you.
Lee passed away on July 3 at age 89, but her distinctive laugh and zest for life will be remembered by family and friends for eternity.
Lee was born February 17, 1930 in the town of Fossa, nestled in the province of L'Aquila in the Abruzzo region of Southern Italy. Her family emigrated to America in 1936, landing on Ellis Island.
