

Lynn K Kleinman passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on January 31, 2026, at the age of 83. Lynn is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Kleinman; his children and grandchildren as noted below, as well as his sister, Joyce Beagly. He was born on June 1, 1942, in Cedar City, Utah, to Lawrence and Mable Kleinman. Lynn grew up in Ely, Nevada, and met and dated Evelyn there.
Following graduation from High School, Lynn served an LDS mission in Austria. After returning from his mission, he married Evelyn on December 6, 1965, in the St. George Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and were the parents of six children: Bruce Kleinman (Linda), Bryan Kleinman, Sheri Purtill (Sean), Brent Kleinman, Cindy Campbell (David), and Kristy McCarthy (Adam). He is also survived by his grandchildren Bailey Kleinman, Brandy Kleinman, Brady Purtill (Katie), Brooke Purtill, Ellie Campbell, Jayna Campbell, Wyatt Campbell, Lizzy Campbell, Braxton McCarthy, and Riley Osmun (John).
Lynn was in the US Army for 3 years and served in South Korea. Lynn and Evelyn have made Henderson, Nevada, their home for over 55 years. Lynn joined the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in 1969, spending most of his time there as a motorcycle policeman. He served for the department for 30 years before retiring. Lynn served in many callings in his church, including scout leader, Counselor in the Bishopric, a temple worker in the Las Vegas LDS Temple, and worked in the Family History Center. He and Evelyn served a family history mission for 1 1/2 years in Enugu, Africa.
Lynn’s kindness touched the lives of so many people. He was always the first person to volunteer to help someone in need. He helped countless people move, fix hot-water heaters, install a new sink faucet, fix broken sprinklers, flat tires, etc. Lynn’s passion was woodturning and other woodworking projects. He turned wood into beautiful works of art and shared his creations with family, neighbors, friends, and anyone who could use a smile.
He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. Funeral Services will follow at 11:30 am, both at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 400 S Water St, Henderson, NV 89015
Lynn will be laid to rest with law enforcement honors at 1:00 pm at Palm Henderson Cemetery, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
