Marietta Ellen Armstrong, 95, of Boulder City, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Boulder City Hospital. She was born June 26, 1918 in Bremen, Indiana. She was a retired Tax Account and has lived in Boulder City for 26 years. Her parents were Oliver and Mary Hans. Marietta was an inspiration to everyone she met. She had a strong faith with her Lord and Savior and she was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Robert Raymond Armstrong. Marietta is survived by her son, Robert “Bob” Raymond (Joyce) Armstrong, Jr; several nieces and nephews, William Bradshaw, Mary Anna Bradshaw, Michael Bradshaw and Mike Dunkerly. Also her best friend of 20 years Rue (Mickey) Reed. Arrangements are under the direction of Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, Henderson, NV. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 7th at 2 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church 1401 Fifth St., Boulder City, Nevada. No flowers please. A donation can be made to Christ Lutheran Church. A private burial will take place at Boulder City Cemetery at a later date by invitation only.
