Marion was born on September 21, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois to John and Mary Blaeser. She married Donald Ray Svenson in 1958. After moving to Woodland Hills California in 1970, Marion and her husband opened a shipping container company and became active members of Woodland Hills Country Club. Marion lovingly raised three children which she cared about more than anything in the entire word. Always demonstrating to them the importance of responsibility, hard work, compassion, joy, humility, and above all else selflessness. She would then go on to instill these same virtues in her three grandchildren.
After moving to Henderson, NV in 1998, Marion started working for the Clark County School District where she would continue to work as a front desk secretary until the end of her life. Marion loved socializing and interacting with people on a daily basis. Always greeting people with a smile, a warm conversation, and her famous closing catchphrase, “tootles!”. Her positive energy and lightheartedness consumed everyone that was in her presence.
Marion is survived by her children; Donald, Mary, and Jon (wife, Kathrine); Grandchildren, Jonathan, William, and Malia.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years Don.
