Sunrise December 31, 1929 - Sunset June 28, 2021
On the evening of June 28, 2021, Marjorie transitioned, returning to Light while resting peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was 91 years old.
Marjorie was born, in New York, New York. She was the first child of Wesley and Eugenie Lewis.
She moved to Jamaica the homeland of her parents at the young age of five and returned to the States when she was eighteen. She would often share her tales of fighting off an iguana in the battle of a mango.
To her parents, her birth was a joyful pre-holiday, surprise, and most welcomed interruption. Marjorie entered the world unexpectedly on New Year's Eve. Hence through her entire life especially with her children, the day before New Year's would always be the biggest and happiest celebrations in her honor filled with their love.
Marjorie loved sewing and making beautiful outfits. She also enjoyed working in her garden or one of her daughter’s gardens, as she passed her green thumb on to all of them. Her most recent years were spent coloring, painting, and working with charcoals. She was quite the artist! We never missed a night watching Star Trek “The Next Generation”, yes she was a die-hard Trekkie!
A loving stay-at-home mother, she poured out all of her care and time devoting it between her beloved husband and children. Instilling and encouraging them with the values she learned from her parents and Jamaican heritage. Creating a home full of love and acceptance during their growing years.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her mother, father, and beloved husband. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her six children, Pauline, Eugene, Pierre, Edwige, Avril, and Catherine, and their families.
Within our family, her light has not dimmed but has only grown brighter as we continue her legacy of love and service to all.
Fond memories and expressions of love may be shared at www.palmboulderhighway.com for the Bingue family.
