Mary Catherine Thompson, 76, of Kingman, AZ. passed away on March 15th 2021 at 8:30pm in Las Vegas NV at the Sunrise Hospital. Mary’s passing of complications from her recent surgery brought to an end the long fight she had put up against father time.
Mary, born in 1944 to Bob and Ruth Winckel in Southern California was a long time counselor at a College in California. She enjoyed most helping students achieve their educational dreams. Her selfless dedication to furthering the careers of her students and co-workers never went un-noticed. Mary helped many. She left the north coast only out of necessity and it was truly her favorite place.
Mary, was preceded in death by her brother Bobby, Father Bob and Mother Ruth. She is survived by her children, Darren, Cathy and Greg.
Following Mary’s wishes a cremation is planned followed by a virtual celebration of life in April for the close family and friends. She’ll end up in the Redwoods again, someday!
