She graduated from Basic High School and received her high school diploma. She went to the Community College of Southern Nevada and received her Paralegal Certificate. She married Carl Brown in 1958.
Mona had a career in the legal profession for Jones, Jones, Close & Brown and Jones Vargas for over 40 years. She had a passion for tennis, ceramics, loved animals; especially her cats.
She is proceded in death by Carl Brown, Hugh Van Gorder, and Cheri Dee Grod. Mona is survived by her daughter Dena Murphy (Jim Murphy), her grandson Sean Van Gorder (Patrick Thantacheva), granddaughter Taylor Murphy, and many extended family members.
