Nelson Thomas Soehlke Jr., 78, of Henderson, NV, passed away August 05, 2026, in Henderson, NV. Nelson who also went by Tom was born on March 11, 1948, in Salt Lake City, UT and graduted from Basic High School.
Nelson T. Soehlke Jr., had a career as a professional Land Surveyor for The County of Las Vegas for over 30 years and after retirement, he worked for construction companies MWH and 4 leaf consulting. He also was a course worker at The Silver State Classic Challenge for over 25 years.
He had a passion for locomotive trains, Drag Races, offroading, going shooting with his son, golfing with his friends. He was a master wood worker in carpentry. In his early years he was an avid bowler, and was very knowledgeable about cars; he could fix almost anything.
He is proceded in death by his father Nelson Thomas Soehlke, his mother Verla Ruth Rideout, his sister Marianne Soehlke McGarvey.
Nelson is survived by his son Adam Soehlke.
A Visitation for Nelson will be held at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Hwy Henderson NV 89015 on September 18, 2026 from 2:00PM to 6:00PM with a service to follow from 6:00PM to 7:00PM.
