Pam enjoyed challenging herself with new opportunities. She worked at Nabisco, Buries, Laura Scutters, Verizon, Ford Motor Credit, Credit Acceptance, The Fiesta Casino Rewards Center and bartended at a place in Southgate.
Pam married Phil on April 9, 2006 at the Little Church of the West in Las Vegas, Nevada. Through her marriage, she and Phil blended their families which included her 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great granddaughters, three step children, and another grandchild. There was always plenty of love to share with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who meant the world to her. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for them.
Pam loved to travel and go camping in the new Travel Trailer with the intention of running the wheels off it. A new adventure awaited her around every corner with Phil and her 2 dogs, Sophie and Gretchen by her side.
Pam had many friends and they all adored her and always looked forward to the events she would plan. One of everyone’s favorite events was a party she arranged at Christmas time for her friends where they would pick a person's name from the group and that would be their secret pal for the next year. They would send that person a gift for every occasion throughout the year. At the next year’s party, they would reveal who their secret pal was.
Pam was such a creative and gifted woman who found joy in everything she did and always tried to spread that joy to others. Whether it was Bingo with her friend Cheryle, doing arts and crafts, shopping, bowling, gambling or simply watching her favorite shows like Wheel of Fortune and Price is Right, there was always something she was excited to share.
Pam was preceded in death by her father, Vaughn V. King; mother, Blanche I. Buckles King; and sister, Judith Jarred. She is survived by her husband, Phil Austin Rutherford; four children: Robert Lindsay, Vicki Blackett, David Plett, and Kimberly (Boyfriend, Andy Micklos) Barone; three stepchildren: Steven Rutherford (Marguerite), Kathleen Rutherford, Kirk Rutherford (Cindy); grandchildren: David Plett, Cheree Plett, Channell Plett, Drake Plett, Dacia (Boyfriend, Darren Gobin) Patterson, Tanner (Fiancée', Sam Dubois) Patterson, and Tavia Rutherford; nephews, Michael Wescott and Kevin Wescott.
