She graduated from Abingdon High school and received her general degree from Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. She married Gary Schmidt, on April 09,1966.
Patricia had a long career as a Registered Nurse for Desert Springs Hospital for 25 years, and Lutheran Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of Green Valley Evangelical Lutheran Church and had a passion for reading, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gary Schmidt, her sister Linda Penn, and her brother Vandal Dorn.
Patricia is survived by Jodi Addesso (daughter), Michael and Jennie (son), Grandchildren, Brittany and Emir Lopez, Nicholas and Andrea Addesso, Arianna Schmidt, Zachary Schmidt and Stefanie Schmidt, her great-grandchildren Scarlette and Karsyn Lopez.
A graveside service for Patricia will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 9:20 AM at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Mem, Boulder City, NV 89005.
