
Raymond August Kozik Of Henderson, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016. Ray was born May 13, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois. Ray joined the US Army in 1949 during the Korean War conflict and was stationed in Germany. Upon returning home, Ray married his sweetheart, Dolores “June” McAllister on July 9, 1954. He was Honorably Discharged from service in 1956. Ray worked for the US Railroad upon discharge from service and ultimately relocated to Las Vegas in 1969 with his family. He worked as an electrician until his retirement. Rays favorite hobbies were fishing and hunting and loved teaching his children, nephews and nieces. Ray was preceded in death by his parents August and Cecelia (Moniak); wife June; brothers Robert, William and Paul. He is survived by one son Daniel Kozik of Henderson; three daughters, Kim Calhoun of Arizona, Kathy Garibay of Las Vegas, and Debra (Alva) Porter of Henderson; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren who affectionately called him “Papa” and a sister, Delores Sigerich of Chicago, Illinois. Services will be at 9:20 am Monday April 18, 2016 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, Nevada 89005.
