Mr. Ronald Ray Salmon

Ronald Ray Salmon, age 85, passed away on December 10, 2025, in his hometown of Henderson, Nevada. Ron was born in Kemmerer, Wyoming on May 5, 1940 to his Father Raymond Salmon and his mother Margaret Neil.

He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada at age 6 and attended Las Vegas High School where he met Lyle Jean Leavitt. The two fell in love and were married on February 18, 1961. In 1976, Ron went to work for Anderson Dairy in Las Vegas and stayed there until his retirement. Ron and Lyle Jean were active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and raised their family to be faithful members. Ron and Lyle Jean had five children: Lee Salmon, Debbie Hayes, David Salmon, Steven Salmon, and Stacy Greene.

Lyle Jean passed away in 2008 and Ron married Elizabeth ("Betty") Ann Leavitt on March 19, 2009. Betty brought two children from a previous marriage: Laura Durgin and Donald Durgin. Ron is survived by Betty and all of the children. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and his brother Robert "Bob" Salmon.

A viewing is scheduled for 9:00 AM on December 20, 2025 with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 AM. Services will be held at the LDS Church located at 1002 Burkholder Blvd, Henderson, NV 89015.
