Rosario J. Messina of Henderson, Nevada passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Wednesday February 12, 2014 after a short illness. He was born in New York City on December 23, 1930, He was married to Rosemarie C. Messina for Fifty-seven and a half years. Roy is survived by his wife, three sons, two daughters-in-law, six Grandchildren, seven Great-Grandchildren, and many friends from coast to coast. Roy served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, He was a master gourmet chef for most of his career. He was a Freemason for fifty-four years and a member of the Heritage Lodge #371 in New York City. Roy will be remembered as a great chef, avid craps shooter, and the life of the party. In lieu of a traditional funeral service, the family has opted for cremation and a private service. Roy will be buried in a National Cemetery with full military honors.
