Roy Lee Pryor

Roy Lee Pryor, age 88, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023. He was born on a farm in Lance, Maryland to his parents Lillian Marie Manahan and Allen Leroy Pryor. Roy was raised by his uncle on the farm along with his two sisters and four brothers. At an early age he left school to continue his work with the farming, until he became of age and moved to California.

In California, Roy would learn the trades and became a skilled carpenter. He would then move to Missouri for 10 years where he would transform a large barn into a large family home. in the early 1960's, Roy would relocate to Henderson, Nevada where he would continue his trade. It was there that he would manage the maintenance and home construction for the Triple K trailer park. He worked for many decades prior to retiring.

Roy was a simple man; who was devoted to his family. In his spare time, he loved to fish in his favorite places and restore old classic cars.

Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Lelia Pryor; his father; Allen Leroy Pryor; his mother Lillian Marie Manahan; one sister; and four brothers. He is survived by his sons: Dwayne Lee Pryor (Tami) and Roy Allen Pryor (Paige); sister, Irene; 7 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Roy will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM both at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. He will be laid to rest in Palm Henderson Cemetery in Henderson, Nevada.
