Ruth Anna (Huelsman) Shannon , 93, of Las Vegas, NV. passed away on June 27, 2015 . Born in Latonia, Kentucky to Fred and Mayme Huelsman, the 5th of 8 children. Ruth moved to Henderson NV in 1960; a waitress for the Dunes Hotel for 30 years. She served many years as a volunteer for the Henderson Senior Center and St. Rose De Lima Hospital; long-time member of VFW Ladies' Auxiliary and St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. She will always be remembered for her love of family and friends, her rose garden, and her generous spirit. She Is preceded in death by her spouse Joseph and son Miles . Ruth is survived by her daughter, Seanna Shannon of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Christian Dietz (SD), Joseph Shannon, Roseanna Shannon (Las Vegas), and Helen Shannon (WI); sister, Rose Warren (KY) ; and 9 great-grandchildren. Services at Palm Mortuary Chapel in Henderson on July 11th at 11 a.m. The family extends our heartfelt gratitude to the staff of St. Anne Group Home.
