

Sylvester “Sal” Fucile Age 87 of Henderson Nevada, formerly of Mahwah New Jersey, passed away September 21, 2013. He was born in Somerville Massachusetts on July 10, 1926. Sal graduated from Murray Hill High School in New York City and attended Fairleigh Dickinson College in Teaneck New Jersey.
He was married to Karen (Hodulik) Fucile on October 1, 1995.
Sal worked a career in construction for Nico Construction Company as a Senior Projects Manager. After he retired in 1991, he worked for the Wyckoff Family YMCA in Wyckoff, NJ in maintenance, until he moved to Nevada in 2004.
He was a member of Ralph W. Hall VFW Post 5561, Bogota, New Jersey, and had a passion for fixing things, dancing, and storytelling. He had a passion for golf, bowling, tennis and racquetball.
He is survived by his wife Karen H. Fucile of Henderson, Nevada and children Christopher P. Fucile (16) of Henderson, Nevada, Stephen J. Fucile and wife Lydia of Houston, Texas, Robert B. Fucile and wife Karen Lea Fucile of Houston, Texas, Scott Semmler of South Portland Maine, Rachel Semmler of Henderson, Nevada, Brian Semmler USN and wife Zaidy of Williamsburg, Virginia and Christine Accetta of Mahwah, New Jersey.
He is survived by grandchildren Stephanie Moore of New York, Vincent Fucile of Houston, Texas and Samantha Garrett of Willis, Texas. He is further survived by great grandchildren Lincoln and Charleigh Garrett of Willis, Texas and Michael Semmler of Williamsburg, Virginia.
He is survived by sisters Venera Rosselli and husband Antonio and Lillian Buzzanca, and pre-deceased by Grace Martino, along with three generations of nieces and nephews in the New York and New Jersey Metropolitan area.
He is further survived by his Uncle Dominic Fucile and his wife Madeline of Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
