Thomas W. Gergits Sr., age 80, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Nathan Adelson Hospice. He was born on March 14, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Mary (Fassl) Gergits. He was a graduate of Argo High School on June 2, 1959. As a co-owner of S&T Toys with Sue Husch, he traveled the midwest selling toys, books, and figurines. He was a veteran of the US Army, a member of the Southern Nevada Gem and Mineral Society, and was an avid Matchbox car collector. Tom is survived by his son Thomas W. Gergits Jr. (Christy); two grandchildren, Christopher and Samantha Gergits; three brothers, Ed (Pat), Joe, and John (Carol); and many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by his friends, his family, and all that knew him.
