Remembering the life of Thomas Dean Wingett, Jr.

Thomas Dean Wingett Jr., age 42, of Las Vegas, Nevada was called home by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, March 6, 2025. He was born October 27, 1982 in Madison, Wisconsin. Thomas, Tommy, Tom; was raised in the midwest ranging from parts of Wisconsin to Bloomington and Normal, Illinois; finding his way to the beautiful lakes of Minnesota and then to his forever home with his wife in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Growing up, Tom was always active outdoors, loved cooking for his mama, and being a protector to his younger siblings. He became absolutely fascinated with the skies above developing a love for astrophysics and studying meteorology. He enjoyed fishing with his Daddy and camping was one of his favorite pastimes. He loved music and would hit every note while often singing aloud to his favorite songs. It was easy for Tom to make friends as he was a magnetic spirit and enjoyed being in the company of others.

The oldest of five children, Thomas was shaped by the faith and the values of hard work that defined his upbringing. He had been blessed by the Lord as an infant born premature and he had been chosen by God. His life would be an instrument of God’s blessings for the entire world! Tom was sealed with the mark of the Holy Spirit, and cultivated a love of learning and an unshakable resilience that inspired all who knew him.

Thomas fell in love with his teenage sweetheart and eventually God sent them the blessing of unity after two decades apart. He was a devoted husband and father who loved his family with all his heart; togetherness is what he loved the most. When his children were born he shined a new light and it gave him a renewed purpose and everyone could tell he just loved being a Dad and would have done anything for his girls. During his time away from his soulmate he never did have children with anyone else which goes to show his true everlasting love. He loved them with all of his being.

Thomas loved helping others and was a compassionate soul with a strong essence of community. He was so resourceful and would find ways to make things work by thinking outside the box. His biggest passion outside of spending time with his family was being an auto mechanic; he loved everything mechanical. He was also passionate about cooking and BBQing for his family. His love language was gift giving. Destiny are the three stars that make up Orion’s belt. Tom designated his stars as him and his wife's stars which represent his granddaughters that he was blessed to kiss.

During Tom's last years of life he had completely given himself to the Lord. He even dreamt about Heaven twice before his calling to Heaven. Thomas Wingett; beloved son, cherished husband, devoted father and Grandfather, leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication and service to others. His life was marked by love, resilience, and an adventurous spirit. He touched so many lives and will always be remembered and never forgotten.

Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Wingett Sr.; and his uncle, Randy. He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Danielle; his mother, Penny and her husband, Jason; his daughters: Amy and Leah; his stepdaughter, Alyssa; his sisters: Tabatha and Kayla; his brothers: Jessi, Kyle and Jovon; his granddaughters: Aria, Ailana, and Amelia; his aunt, Missy; his Uncles: Dave, Jim and Kevin; nephews: Cedric, Jesse, and Milo; his nieces: Jocelyn and Jaime; many beloved cousins; and his feline friend, Beauty.
