Trudy Louise Casey

Trudy Casey was a treasured part of the lives of many. She passed away on October 8, 2026 at home peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. She devoted her career to the Henderson District Public Libraries where she loved being a part of serving the public of Henderson.

Trudy loved road trips, seeing the country, and chasing music festivals. She was a kind woman who just knew when someone was in need. She would spread kindness and love to people she knew and loved, but she would also notice the need in a stranger and do or say something to pick them up.

Trudy always lived life to the fullest, and she will be missed deeply. She is survived by her loving husband Allen, two kids (Chad/Katie and Mindi/Bryan), grandchildren (Cameron, Henry and Hunter) and countless friends that were welcomed to the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider keeping Trudy's memory alive by completing an act of kindness that she would have done. You can pick up the tab for a stranger's lunch, call a friend, visit your local library to read a book or attend an event, bring a meal to a neighbor or a friend, or something else that spreads a little more love and kindness into the world.
