Walter Hobson Gold III

Walter Hobson "Wally" Gold III, age 71, passed away on February 8, 2026, in Henderson, Nevada. Born on February 28, 1954, in Riverside, California, Wally lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his work, and his faith.

Wally graduated from Basic High School and later pursued higher education at Clark County Community College of Southern Nevada, earning his Associate’s Degree in 2014. A hardworking and skilled craftsman, he spent his career drywalling homes and businesses throughout the Las Vegas Valley and surrounding states. His contributions to the community through his trade left a lasting impact on countless spaces where people live and work.

An active member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints, Wally found strength and purpose in his faith. He was deeply committed to staying connected with those around him. Whether moderating online groups or keeping up with family members near and far, Wally had a gift for bringing people together. He loved listening to audiobooks, sharing stories that captivated those who heard them, and offering sound advice that guided many through life’s challenges.

Wally is survived by his beloved wife, Sherry Ann Gold; his children: Pure Joy Gold, Walter Hobson Gold IV, George Wesley Gold, Crystal Jennifer Gold, Kenneth Hiram Gold (Patricia Ài Nî), and William Andrew Gold; as well as his cherished grandchildren: Jarin Aubrey Gold (Caitlin), Hunter Ashlin Gold (Brighton), Chantilly Blyss Tuell, and Ramsay Chase Tuell (Sarha). His family remembers him as their “go-to” person during difficult times—a source of clarity and comfort who always gave 110% in everything he did. His unwavering commitment to doing what was right will remain an enduring legacy.

Wally’s life was defined by love for his family and an unyielding determination to support those he cared about. May his memory bring solace to all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 28, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Water Street Chapel 400 S Water St. in the Relief Society Room. A Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary & Cemetery 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
