

Lee Reinmiller, 67, peacefully passed away after a long battle with cancer at his home in Boulder City, NV on Saturday, August 22, 2015, surrounded by loved ones. Lee was born in Lincoln, NE to parents Weldon and Mary (Rio), and moved with his family to Flagstaff, AZ in 1959. Lee graduated from NAU in 1971 with a degree in Elementary Education. He married Katherine (Phillips) (1971-1982), and they moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1972 where their son, Nathan, was born. They then made Boulder City, NV their home in 1976. Lee taught at J.T. McWilliam Elementary, C.T Sewell Elementary, and Brown Elementary Schools before leaving teaching and starting his own business, where he specialized in fiberglass. Known as the “Glass Guru” by many, he made boats, jetted tubs, race cars, movie props, and just about anything else he wanted to create. Lee’s passions also included making incredible beer with his son, Crackerbox racing, boating and camping. Lee is survived by his son, Nathan of Las Vegas, NV; his sister, Ricki Van Hoorebeke of Huntington Beach, CA; his brother, Roger of Denver, CO; his significant other, Kathy Moore, his niece Deryn (Hall) of Silverlake, CA; and nephews David and Damon Van Hoorebeke of Orange County, CA. Lee will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A Celebration of Life reception will be held at the Forge Social House in Boulder City, NV on September 13, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. for family and close friends.
