William "Bill" Corbett Gray, age 75, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022. He was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Bobby Jo (Jones) Gray and Owen Corbett Gray. Raised primarily in Carlsbad, the family moved a lot. As a result, Bill was rather quite and enjoyed reading. He graduated from high school in 1965 and went on to continue his education for the next couple of years at the community college.

In 1967, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served honorably as a weather equipment technician repairing and maintaining meteorological equipment. Through hard work and dedication he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and earned the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Good Conduct Medal, Air and Space Longevity Service Award, and the Small Arms Expert Marksman Ribbon.

Upon receiving his honorable discharge from active duty, Bill began his career working as an electrician. He worked with the IBEW for many years retiring as a foreman in 2012.

On February 20, 2000, Bill married his soul mate, Cheryl at a local wedding chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they blended their lives and families, and as their families grew, they were blessed with 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; who were Bill's pride and joy.

Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather; whom always put his faith and his family first, and had an diversified range of hobbies and interests. He was quiet and reserved a lot of the time where he enjoyed painting with acrylics and oils, reading and writing poetry. He also enjoyed the outdoors: fishing, camping and shooting with his sons. In retirement, he and Cheryl enjoyed taking trips across the United States, visiting Oregon, riding motorcycles, and their trip to Ireland. His favorite past time was the joy he had spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

William Corbett Gray was a modest man, quiet and observant in his ways. He was trustworthy and traditional in his approach to his life and in his relationships. He was committed to living the life of a good man and the traditional values that he upheld his entire life. He was a hard worker and devoted his life to making an impact on the lives of those around him, especially to those he knew and loved. he will truly be missed.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Owen Corbett Gray; mother, Bobby Jo (Jones) Gray; and siblings: Robert Willis, Sharon Fay Sale, Stephen Gray, Patricia Gray, and Michael Gray. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl L. Gray; his children: Michael Gray (Jennifer), Daniel Gray, Christine Perrucci (Jimmy), Cynthia Arteaga (Abel), Carrie Perrucci, Nick Perrucci (April), and Tracy Kluchar (Jerry); one sister, Doris Langley (Bob); brother, Owen Corbett Gray (Margie); 11 grandchildren: Corbett, Anthony, Tiffany, Ashley, Tayler, Dylan, Austin, Cody, Brooke, Nicholas, and Shannon; and six great grandchildren: Ryder, Kash, Cru, Brayden, Frankie, Adrian, and Zara.

Services for Bill will be private and by invitation. He will be laid to rest with military honors at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's memory may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital.
