William, better known as Bill, was born on December 1, 1934, in Muskegon, Michigan. He was a graduate of Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado where he was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. Bill proudly served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960. He was stationed at Squaw Valley during the 1960 Olympics and was assigned to cook food for the military personnel who were helping to construct the Olympic village.
Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara, his daughter Janelle and her husband Bryan, his son Daniel and his wife Panida, and his grandchildren, Zachary and Kendra.
Aside from his love for his family, Bill was a die-hard UNLV Runnin’ Rebels fan, a Jeopardy wiz and was the king of dad jokes! Bill was loved by everyone who met him and will be greatly missed.
