

June 1, 1944 – February 17, 2016
On February 17, 2016, our beloved brother, William Robert Vazzana, age 71, passed away, in Las Vegas, Nevada at home with family by his side. Bill was born on June 1, 1944, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, to Bill and Betty Vazzana. With his father in the military, Bill moved to many places with the family finally settling in Brea, California at age 14. He graduated from Brea Olinda High in 1962 then attended Mount San Antonio College. In 1964 Bill married Ann Dahlum. They resided in Brea for many years eventually moving north to Willits, Ca in 1990. While Bill was working at AM &D they opened Julianna’s Café & Catering. Sadly, Ann passed away in 2012.
A new opportunity arose in Las Vegas for Bill to become CFO of Vazzana Underground Construction and North Country Oil. Bill decided to move to Las Vegas with his partner, Monte Bacus, and worked for his brother Bruce at Vazzana Underground Construction. His career in business spanned opportunities with North American Rockwell, Aluminum Dip Braze, AM & D and lastly, Vazzana Underground Construction and North Country Oil.
Bill enjoyed remodeling his homes in Las Vegas, Willits and his beach home in Fort Bragg, California. He also loved going to Hot August Nights in Reno, Nevada; taking his 1956 Oldsmobile to cruise the boulevards with the rest of the old cars.
Bill is survived by his partner Monte Bacus of Las Vegas, daughter Julie Forness of Ukiaka, grandson Nicholis of Fort Bragg, great granddaughter Lily, and siblings, Beverly (Don) Swirczek of Fallon, NV, Bruce (Ann) Vazzana of Canyon Lake, CA, and Barry (Christie) Vazzana of Murrieta, CA, and his precious dog, Lady.
Bill is now one of the angels up in heaven watching over us and is missed by everyone who loved and knew him.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M., on April 9, 2016, at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Hwy, Henderson, NV.
