On January 27, 1939, in Cuba, a beautiful child was born to parents Fidel Vazquez and Elvira Reyes. This child would be Lovingly named Miriam. On Sunday, November 12, 2023, Miriam departed this life, thus finishing her earthly duties.
Miriam reflected back to some of her earliest ambitions which included leaving Cuba with her family to better their lives. Due to this, she dedicated her life to working hard while staying surrounded by her family. For her, they were her strength, her pride and her joy. The birth of her grandchildren were some of her proudest moments and having them play games with her kept her laughing and smiling throughout the years. Spending 60 years with her nagging and loving husband Rigoberto would be the best years of her life.
Miriam would like to be remembered as a loving, feisty and independent person who never gave up. No matter the obstacles that life put in her way, she was a fighter to the end and was never one to surrender. She was a hard worker who took pride in taking care of her family. Her hard work, loyalty and commitment would recognized during her career at Fisher Island, where she was named best employee. Even after all these years later, this would remain one of her proudest career accomplishments.
Whenever someone in the family had a problem or needed to talk, she was the one that they could confide in. Not only because she was loving, but also due to the fact that she was brutally honest and would tell it like it is! Some of her favorite hobbies included watching cooking videos on Facebook, taking care of her beautiful plants as well as sitting back and gossiping about celebrities. Miriam was indeed the matriarch of the family!
Miriam is missed dearly by the family members, friends and loved ones he leaves behind. In honor of her Life, Love & Legacy, a Visitation for her will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 6:00 P.M. until 11:00 P.M. at Caballero Rivero Hialeah Funeral Home, 373 West 9 Street, Hialeah, Florida, 33010. Miriam will be laid to rest on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn West Cemetery, 14001 N.W. 178 Street, Miami, Florida, 33018.
