I can not believe it has been a year. I find myself talking to you while looking a pictures and remembering the fun we had with the kids. I miss you. I love you. 

I have letters that my daughter wrote to God because Normita taught her to talk to him in writing or out loud. I am so very sad at hearing of  her passing. A dear dear friend. My prayers are with Yvette and Amber and the rest of the family .

Norma and I were childhood friends. Although we grew apart after college, she will always be remembered as a dear and kind friend. My heart is broken to find out about her passing at such a young age. I have so many memories of her and I spending time together when we were young at Saint Monica and then at Pace High school, and briefly at Barry. Her very young life was filled with tragedy that only a person like her could have gone through with such grace and humility. I wish that we would have stayed in touch since I often wondered what happened to my dear friend. I knew that her gifts as a teacher would served her well since I personally learned so much from her.  I know that she knew God well and that he is ready to accept her.  May you rest in heaven with Erica and your mom.  Some day we will meet again sweet friend. 

I met Norma 22yrs ago, when I first started OCPS. She was the very first teacher I ever assisted. Our first meeting (unknown to us that we would be working together at the time), was so natural and easy going. You've heard people say " it's like we've known each other for years "...and it was TRUE. I had prayed that the Lord would give me someone wonderful and fun to work with. ..and He did. Our reaction when we found out-- complete joy with a huge heart felt hug. She reveal that she had prayed the same. We laughed and shared another hug. I had the best  first 4yrs in OCPS. We were a great pre-K team, so in sync with each other. Unfortunately due to OCPS's budget, we ended up at different schools. We were so sad and disappointed. We had the best, BEST times with our Pre-kers. Now I'm here with tears and a heavy heart. My friend, Norma, your love for the Lord, and spirituality, undoubted. You were a bright light with that smile, such a sweet angel of a person. Norma, I have "no worries", because now you are a sweet angel at home.  Love and Miss you.

I met Norma at Sherrie Doherty's in Orlando, she always knelt next to Sherrie's chair, much like a little girl soaking in all the knowledge and expertise that Sherrie offered for assisting children from babyhood on up the scale of life!  Once, Norma, grew in the area she flapped her wings and soared for all children!  She was a Dynamo and loved God first!  Marvin, you will be missed, but decided to bring you home to rest in His arms!  You did more for thousands of lives in your short life than many do in so many more years here on Earth!  RIP

You were my sister. We shared our personal dreams and  our desires to work in advancing God's Kingdom. I can't wait to see you again in our Eternal Home. Love you!

We met Ms. Norma when she was serving at Orlando World Outreach Center, caring for the children with special needs. She did a presentation during a training session one Saturday about how important it was to serve them and provide a service that was inclusive to all children no matter their capabilities. You could tell during that presentation that she really had a heart for those children. She was such a light, full of kindness. We are grateful for the example she set to serve and love all. I know she is with Jesus and well. We will continue to pray for her family and friends.

You were not a blood relative to us yet you were still family.  A blessed sister in the Lord who was faithful and a wonderful loving example of what a Christian truly is.   A person that trusts God, walks with Him  and for Him daily.  You were a care giver for my  son with special needs which you ensured were met.   His special needs were special to you and you took time to work with him to achieve more than we knew were possible.   Your personal touch is evident in how you took time to help Seth  decorate his room with his special things so that his living space was uniquely designed for Him and while it is Sethś space we will always see Norma there as well. 

I met Ms. Norma at Orlando World Outreach Center. We served in O'kids together and worked with the special needs children. Ms. Norma showed me love and patience when working with the kids. This was something new for me, but she made me feel welcomed and also worked with me to understand and love the children we worked with. I am going to miss her.  Until we meet in heaven. Enjoy your new body and wonderful robe. 🧡🤍🧡💜

My dear friend Norma (Normita) was truly an angel here on Earth. I had the honor and privilege to have worked with her at KinderCare many years ago. We continued our friendship through out the years with one special trip to Key West where we went on a spiritual retreat. That's where I learned just how much she loved God. In some ways, I thought of Norma as my spiritual compass. She had a beautiful soul, a loving heart and a kind word about everyone she met!

The shock has not worn off.  I keep looking at the pictures and remembering  all of the good times we had.  I remember your brother in law giving me a hard time and calling me a gringo. There's just so many memories. 

Continue to be you in heaven.  We will see each other again. 

I had the pleasure of meeting Norma in December 2019. Norma joined a UF Coaching Certification cohort that was facilitated by myself, Melissa Brown and Jenny Cao. We spent 8 months with Norma  and the cohort of 33 amazing early education professionals around Florida. We all became a family. We bonded as a strong meaningful group of learners. We will never forget Norma and her kind smiling face. This is a big blow to all of us. Our prayers are with all of Normas' family during this very difficult time.

Norma  as I sit here with tears running down my face  as  i just found out about this. I am in shock. We have so many memories that can be shared. My babies (that aren't babies anymore) loved their Aunt Norma. They saw you at daycare and at home. Teaching them to swim. Pointer knocking Brandon in the pool. Painting the house, the carmagia, the dogs . You always had a project going and you always involved the kids. You had a lot of patience not only for you niece and nephew but for every child you came into contact  with. 

Even after  we moved the kids still talked about Aunt Norma, Pointer and rodey.  

Rest in Peace Norma. You will not be forgotten.  Love you. 

I am sad that Norma is gone but joyful that she is with the Lord now. My memories of Norma are that she was always thinking of and serving others. I had the privilege of serving the children at our church with her. She had great patience with them (and adults as well).  I know they felt loved in her presence.  It was always a peaceful time to spend time with her. Norma did all the decorations at my wedding and helped to set it up and break it down. She made our day special and all she asked was to pass on the decorations to another wedding that she would also help at. Norma was on a mission to serve others and the Lord. I will miss you but am comforted by knowing you are with Jesus now.

I met Norma 17 years ago at Oak Hill Elementary School where we both taught ESE PreK.  We became close friends
. She helped me with my 2 boys who had special needs. For the last several years she worked with my youngest son..now 23 and did an awesome job providing support and training for him. She helped him decorate his apt and loved him like a son. We shared many talks. I will miss her greatly but know she had gone to her eternal reward in Heaven. 

Norma was my friend, colleague, sister.  I met Norma at work and instantly we became friends.  Norma was the sweetest person.  She was phenomenal.  She was always smiling and sharing her everything with anyone.  Her kindness filled any room she entered and her smile illuminated every and any room she was in.  She was always willing to help and did it without any expectation of anything in return; truly kind.

Norma and I used to have conversations about life, work, religion, family.   We talked about birds and colors.  Norma gave me courage and prayed with me.

I just met Norma this summer while interning with the ELC of Seminole with UCF. I had the privilege of working with Norma in my project for my practicum. Norma had a wealth of knowledge from her years of experience and was always willing to share and listen to ideas and guide me and advise me. I had hoped to meet her in person at some point because from the zoom conferencing at times 2 or 3 times a week, I saw she was a special, and passionate about early childhood and I could learn a lot from her.  I am so sorry for the families loss! I am praying for comfort and peace for her family.  

Our prayers are with you.  We know that  Ms. Norma made it into the kingdom with her father.  Rejoice!! God called his faithful servant home.

Such a beautiful kindred spirit. So grateful for our time of serving together. The patience and love she showed for children was amazing! I often would watch how she engaged with special needs children and how instantly they would respond to her presence. Those encounters will always speak volumes about who she was to me. Norma was inspiring! She walked with dignity and love, always ready to serve. I am honored to have known her. I know her spirit will continue to shine.

Though we worked at different Coalitions, we saw each other at meetings and training's. She shared her passion with helping children and families. She was a lovely, wonderful, nice woman. I always enjoyed speaking with her about our passion in the Early Childhood field.  We all have a wonderful Angel around us now.

I had the pleasure of working with Norma for 2 years.  She had a way about her that could always keep me calm.  She was a kind soul and she will be truly missed. My condolences to her family.

Norma served on One of my Sundays when I was one of the leads in Okids at Church. She will come in and help out with the special needs kids. She knew exactly how to Deal  with special needs like if she spoke their language.  I was so amazed on how patient she was with them and how they Listen to her. She was always a sweet woman and always had a big huge beautiful smile and a voice that you cannot forget. My family and I will miss her my kids had moments to remember with her on Sunday at church in Okids.

11 years ago I met Norma while serving the special needs children at our church.  The special needs group was small at first, just Norma and I.  

I will always remember   Norma's passion for the children and her love of Jesus and her wonderful smile.   Norma taught me so much over the years and I feel I am a better Christian, parent and human being due to her example in working with our church families.

Norma was always so willing to tirelessly serve others each Sunday.   She will be missed, but not forgotten.  We will meet again in paradise.

I will cherish the memory of your gentle manner and sweet smile. The love and patience you showed for our little ones. I don’t think there were many times I saw you at church that you were not accompanied by a little one. Always with a smile. I will miss you my sister. But I take comfort in knowing that the life you lived was dedicated to serving God and his people. I smile because I know this is not goodbye but see you later. Honored to have served God’s people alongside such a beautiful Woman of God. 

I was first introduced to Ms. Norma when she agreed to help me decorate my wedding in 2003. Her kind spirit and excitement for all things decor made Preparation for the celebration All the more easy. In the years following, I would see Ms. Norma serving at church at Orlando World Outreach Center. She would always be tending to and caring for our babies-my own included. I’m so surprised by her passing but I trust that she is resting in the arms of our Lord Jesus. I extend my condolences to all who were touched by her light. 

It was four years ago when I met Norma at our church, Orlando World  Outreach Center.  She assisted me in the nursery on a Sunday when we were short-staffed.  While I only served with her a few times, I saw Norma's kind and gentle demeanor when working with all children; however, her gift of navigating the issues of children with special needs was obviously effortless.

Norma was a patient, loving, and humble woman who had a special gift from the Lord.  She served our kids diligently and loved them well.   Norma will be sorely missed, but I know heaven is her new home and is a more beautiful place with her there. 

My prayers are with her parents, siblings, and other family members and friends at this difficult time.

Norma was a pillar of strength in our church. Not only did she serve by literally building our ministry to families with special needs but she trained other. But her greatest impact was her love, her smile, her gentleness, her kindness. Norma walked in the fruit of the spirit of Jesus so powerfully yet quietly. Saying she will be missed feels like an understatement. But knowing she is resting in the arms of our Savior, brings a smile to my heart. I am grateful for her life, her legacy, her faith, her love for Jesus and her love for others. 

There is so much I can say about Ms. Norma and how she has influenced my life. I met her several years ago at Orlando World Outreach Center where she loved on my very special daughter with so much patience and kindness in her heart. She never treated her different or showed any frustration when dealing with her or any of the other children. She was always trying to find solutions to problems. She will be greatly missed and remembered in my heart everyday. Rest peacefully!

The last time I saw Ms. Norma she was holding one of the babies in the nursery.   As a matter of fact, every time I saw Ms. Norma at church she was attending to a child.  She was always smiling, always making sure our children were taken care of.  It didn't matter who they were.   I'm certain she made every child she came in contact with feel extra special.    I'm grateful for the times she held my own children.  The news of her passing is sad, but I'm rejoicing knowing that she is resting in Christ's eternal peace.  Until we meet again...

Whenever I see a butterfly, I'll think of Norma, sometimes I might think that butterfly is an encouragement from her, and sometimes, it might be. She's still spreading sparkles and sunshine, rainbows and glitter.  She has put up a sign in Heaven that says, "Pressure Makes Diamonds", has encouraged the angels to "Sparkle and Shine" and is even now whispering in someone's ear, "You've got this, you've got this." Norma's light will always shine bright. Her kindness and wisdom will live on in the memories of everyone who knew her and right now wherever she is and whatever she is doing, she is joyfully serving our Heavenly Father and following His plan, as she has always done. I first met Norma about 5 years ago. She visited my classroom to help  me provide support to a child who really needed help.  I was extremely touched by her graciousness and her genuine concern for our most precious and yet vulnerable little ones. Her infectious smile and unmistakably creative decoration skills always brightened the room. Norma's departure, although very sudden, has taken her home to rest in the Father.  She will be truly missed. My sincerest condolences to her family 💞😥.

Words can not describe how grateful I am to God for allowing Norma (Normita) to grace my life. Norma was the light in the midst of a dark world! I remember her always encouraging others, celebrating others and I will truly miss our times of prayer together.  The world was a better place because of her. She will be tremendously missed!
