My deepest condolences to Edilio’s family. I have great memories growing up in the same neighborhood with him and other kids, playing all day and night.  Great guy.

It is with heavy hearts that we remember the passing of our beloved Eddie, who touched our lives in countless ways.  We first met Eddie when he was just 18 years old working as a bar back at the Marriott Hotel in Miami.  From that moment, he became an integral part of our family.

Eddie formed a special bond with our 3 boys, all around the same age, but his friendship with our youngest, Cory, blossomed into an inseparable connection.  Together, they embarked on many adventures, creating memories that will forever remain in our hearts.

We shared many moments with Eddie that were filled with laughter, warmth, and love in Seattle, Lima, Peru, and Miami.  

Eddie shall always be remembered for the kindness, spirit, and joy he brought into our lives.  He will be profoundly missed, but his legacy will live on in our hearts.

My heart aches with the loss of Eddie, and it still feels unreal that he’s no longer here. I find myself thinking about him every day, remembering the moments we shared and the kindness he brought into my life. Though he’s gone, his memory lives on, and he’ll always be a part of me

My heart is broken, and I still can’t believe that Eddie is gone. I think of him every single day, carrying his memory with me. It’s hard to imagine a world without him, but his spirit and all he meant to me will forever stay in my heart.

Eddie loved my cooking and he loved when I came to Miami, he looked forward to the coming meals I prepared and our friendship. I always brought something I had cooked at home in Pensacola, with me and while in Miami I always cooked and made sure I had plenty of leftovers for Eddie. This is one of the examples that I cooked for him that we enjoyed together while in Miami he was a wonderful friend, nothing better, a loyal friend and somebody you could count on if he gave you his word 

A Eddie le encantaba mi comida y le encantaba cuando yo iba a Miami. Esperaba con ansias las comidas que preparaba y nuestra amistad. Siempre llevaba algo que había cocinado en casa en Pensacola conmigo y mientras estuve en Miami siempre cocinaba y me aseguraba de tener muchas sobras para Eddie. Este es uno de los ejemplos de lo que cociné para él y que disfrutamos juntos mientras estuvimos en Miami. Era un amigo maravilloso, nada mejor, un amigo leal y alguien en quien podías confiar si te daba su palabra.

At one of the meetings with Eddie was that he always had a smile. I enjoyed his company greatly and he became my best and closest friend. I love talking to him one to  five times a day and he always filled my day with joy because I had talked to Eddie, even though we all encounter problems throughout the day Eddie always kept a positive attitude and that attitude went to the people around him. We will miss you greatly Eddie

En una de las reuniones con Eddie, él siempre tenía una sonrisa. Disfruté mucho de su compañía y se convirtió en mi mejor y más cercano amigo. Me encanta hablar con él de una a cinco veces al día y siempre llenaba mi día de alegría porque había hablado con Eddie, aunque todos enfrentamos problemas a lo largo del día, Eddie siempre mantuvo una actitud positiva y esa actitud se transmitió a las personas que lo rodeaban. Te extrañaremos mucho, Eddie.

Eddie always loved life and loved what business, although he always complained about it at the end of the day he was always positive . His heart was big, and he helped so many people, his helping other people was constant and God called him home because his time on the earth was full of good deeds wherever he was. God said come home to me “thy good and faithful servant”. God Bless you Eddie forever in our hearts.

Eddie siempre amó la vida y amaba su negocio, aunque siempre se quejaba de ello al final del día siempre era positivo. Su corazón era grande y ayudó a tanta gente, su ayuda a otras personas era constante y Dios lo llamó a casa porque su tiempo en la tierra estuvo lleno de buenas obras dondequiera que estuviera. Dios le dijo: "Ven a casa conmigo, tu siervo bueno y fiel". Dios te bendiga Eddie por siempre en nuestros corazones.

Mi hermano, fuiste como un padre para mí , y tengo la satisfacción que muchas veces te lo dije en vida. Desde que llegué a este país me acogiste como un hijo.

Bonito reencuentro en su viaje a Cuba  después de más de 20 años.

I’m deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend Eddie. He was more than a friend; he was family to me. In every difficult moment, he was always by my side, offering his unwavering support. I truly believe that our paths crossed for a reason—it was a karmic bond that brought us together. We laughed together, shared countless lunches, and he knew me so well, offering advice that guided me in so many ways. We would sometimes argue, but we always made up, because that’s what family does. I still can’t believe he’s gone, and I will forever hold onto the memories we shared. Eddie, you were such a big part of my life, and I will carry you in my heart always...
