One of the hardest things to do when someone passes away is trying to find the right words to say to describe who they were. It is even harder when that person passes away at such a young and promising age. Vickie Elizabeth Reyes was someone who touched the hearts and lives of so many people and so trying to put her life and accomplishments into a couple of paragraphs is a hard thing to do. With this in mind, we write this obituary just to give the world a small glimpse of Vickie's life, love and legacy.
Vickie Elizabeth Reyes was born in Miami, Florida on March 20, 1990 into a large and loving Guatemalan family. She was educated in the Miami-Dade County School system and graduated from William H. Turner Technical Arts High School (Turner Tech). She would later obtain her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Miami.
Vickie was a hardworking, loving and caring person who was great at planning! She was an amazing Architectural Designer, a world traveler, food expert and a supertaster. Even though Vickie had traveled the world and had some of the best cuisine that one could enjoy, having some pizza and a can of coke would always be some of her favorite comfort food. Vickie enjoyed art and photography and is lovingly remembered as being "extra" and free spirited.
Vickie was a loving wife, an amazing daughter, a caring sister and a great friend. She was a ray of hope and happiness to those around her and her life, love and legacy will forever live on throughout her countless family members, friends and loved ones.
In honor of Vickie, a Viewing will be held on Sunday, May 12, 2024 from 6:00 P.M. until 11:00 P.M. at Caballero Rivero Hialeah Funeral Home, 373 West 9 Street, Hialeah, Florida, 33010. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 10:30 A.M at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 3220 N.W. 7 Avenue, Miami, Florida, 33127. Vickie will be laid to rest at Our Lady Of Mercy Catholic Cemetery, 11411 N.W. 25 Street, Doral, Florida, 33172.
