Alice Faye Deal was born December 8, 1959 to the late Avery and Alice Luenet Matthews Deal. She was a 1978 graduate of St. Stephens High School and received two degrees from Catawba Valley Community College.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Natasha Haas and husband, Chris; Jana Wilson and fiance Justin Bumgarner; son, Joseph Deal and daughter Lillie Ellis and fiance Rae Moore; grandchildren Emily & Abigail Haas, Bianca Travis, Briar Sanders, Liam and Coral Bumgarner, a brother, Lee Deal and wife Sherri and nephew Trevor and niece Katie.
We will remember her zest for life, her energy and her love for her kids and grandkids. She worked hard all of her life, up until the very end. For the majority of the last two decades, she has been a part of the Bumgarner Oil family and truly loved her coworkers and customers. We will forever be grateful for the kindness shown to her by her work family the past few months. She was a whirlwind in the best way - she loved Diet Coke, ice cream and food from the Snack Bar. Riding rollercoasters and visiting Wilson Creek Gorge were some of her favorite things to do. She loved rock and roll music and going to concerts. Taking her granddaughters to see the Rolling Stones was a highlight of her life and theirs. She consistently donated blood and believed that all people had value.
In the words of one of her favorite artists, Willie Nelson, “You were always on my mind.” Her spirit is carried on by those who loved her. A celebration of life will be held later.
