GRANITE FALLS – Ms. Alma Marie Harris Beck born May, 31, 1948 in Catawba County, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2022 at Autumn Care of Drexel.
She was preceded in death by her parents James Harris and Fleta Harris Wilson, her husband, James Roy Beck, and infant son, Jerry Ross Beck.
She is survived by a son, Paul Childers (Belinda) of Gamewell; a sister in law, Judy Katz (Rick) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; 2 special friends, Janie Richardson and Sheila Vazquez; her beloved dog, Twitch; and numerous friends.
Alma graduated from St. Stephens High School. Over the years she worked in the food service, the furniture industry and at Wal-mart.
She attended Welcome Home Baptist Church and loved serving the Lord.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 2 PM at Catawba Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Greene officiating. Inurnment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ASPCA.
