Oh mammaw, I miss you so much and every day I miss you more. You send me signs almost daily to let me know you’re with me but that doesn’t really ease the pain to know I can’t just pick you up some broccoli cheese soup anymore. :( you mean the world to me and Isaiah and I know how much we meant the world to you.

I will hold your snuff kisses and your last “I love you” forever in my heart.

When I met this precious lady I saw Jesus shining through her, her look of pure agape love for all she came in contact with had to change them forever. She was like my own relative and I was not even related. She will be remembered for as long as I live with thoughts of heaven when soon Jesus will come as 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 says, For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the Voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Amen.

It was tradition; every Christmas, in my husband's family( Darren Phillips) to gather Christmas morning at Maw Maw Phillips' house for breakfast and exchange gifts. I will never forget how excited Darren would get, rushing us to go before all the fried eggs, country ham, biscuits and red-eye gravy was gone!...Every year, there she would be; in the kitchen; cooking away, feeding family members that would gather at her house faithfully every year. No one went without a plate!...She always managed to have a gift for everyone under her tree!...It amazed me bc there was a bunch of us...and she remembered us all without fail! I will never forget how she welcomed and loved me into her family. I will see her again. I know. The Angels are singing!
She walks with Jesus and my Darren now... Glory Glory Hallelujah! She is Home!
