Alvin Lewis Davis

Alvin was born August 7, 1943 in Catawba Co, to the late Glenn and Ada Bolick Davis.

He was a faithful member for 33 years of First Church of God, member of Good Sam’s Camping Club and retired from Carolina Office Equipment Co.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Ramona McCanless DeHart Davis of the home; sons, Billy Joe Davis and wife, Carol of Hickory, Christopher Wayne DeHart and wife, Debra of Raleigh and Timothy Lewis Davis of Taylorsville; daughters, Elizabeth Davis Yount of Hickory and Christine Davis Canipe of Hickory; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, William Davis and wife, Virginia of Hickory and Charles Davis of Norfolk, VA; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday, March 8, 2012, at 11:00 AM at First Church of God with Dr. Michael Hone officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.

Entombment will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hickory Funeral Home.
