Barry Nance Preslar

Barry Nance Preslar, 80 of Vale, NC went home to be with the Lord on July 6th, 2026, at his residence.

Born on April 4th, 1946, in Catawba County, NC, Barry was the son of the late Fred Nance Preslar and Grace Elizabeth Saine Preslar.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother James Preslar.

Those left to cherish his memory include his Palm Tree Church family and friends.

Barry was very intelligent and talented in electrical and mechanical skills. He was proud of his service in the Air Force and of his country. Barry could always find a way to trace genealogy to connect families. Barry was a faithful member of Palm Tree church and sang in the choir. His presence will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Palm Tree Methodist Church at 7381 Palm Tree Church Rd, Vale, NC 28168 at a later date with Pastor Patrick Hannon officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Palm Tree United Methodist in Barry’s name.
