Bernice Allen Mitchem

Bernice was born February 2, 1928 in Catawba County to the late Frank and Ollie Hefner Allen. She was also preceded in death by her brother Claude Allen, and two sisters, Retta Nace and Lillian Isenhour.

She was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church and retired from Ray Hamlett Company.

Surviving are her two daughters Judy Austin and husband Dale of Jonesborough,TN, Tracie Hindle of Auckland, New Zealand, a granddaughter Erin Hindle of Hickory, special friend, Ervin W. Mitchem of Hickory, brother, Fred Allen and wife Naomi of Hickory and a brother-in-law, Russell Nace of Hickory.

Services will be Wednesday, November 9th, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Our Saviour Lutheran Church with the Reverend Robert Stevens officiating.

Interment will follow in St Stephen’s Lutheran Church Mo. Synod cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:45 – 1:45 PM at Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
