Bessie Lee Ashley Carter, 92, of Newton, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at The Greens at Viewmont. She was born in Cleveland County to the late Paul D. Ashley and Pearl Mae Harris Ashley. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Kenneth Carter, Sr., son, Gerald Davis and her brother, James Ashley.
She previously worked as a CNA2 in the health industry.
She is survived by her son, Charles Carter and wife Cheryl; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 in the East View Cemetery in Newton.
