Betty Jean Duncan Hedrick

Betty Jean was born May 17, 1930 in McDowell Co. to the late Sue Emma Duncan.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Keith Hedrick and two brothers, Eugene Duncan and an infant brother

.

She was of the Baptist faith and had worked for Carpenter Decorating.

The family would like to thank Unifour Nursing and Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley for their help during this time of need.

Surviving are her sons; R. Danny Hedrick and wife, Kendra, of Hickory and James Ricky Hedrick of the home; granddaughter, Staci Hedrick McKinney of Claremont; grandsons, Timothy Hedrick of Hickory, Michael Hedrick of Conover, Stephan Hedrick of Hickory and Adam Hedrick of Granite Falls; six great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Jones and husband, Ronnie of Conover; brother, Dean Duncan and wife, Reda of Hickory ex daughter-in-laws, Brenda Hedrick of Granite Falls and Debbie Hedrick of Claremont

Services will be Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at 2:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Steven McLain and Reverend Jesse Hamlett officiating.

Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home
