Betty Carolyn Bowen Moretz, 66, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at Frye Regional Medical Center. Betty was born Feb. 22, 1947, in Lawndale, to the late L. J. and Mary Bowen. Betty was a member of Hickory Church of Christ and employed by Hancock-Moore. Surviving are her husband, Steve Moretz, of the home; and sister, Judy Ann Bowen, of Hickory. Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Ernest Richards officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
