Betty Watts Townsend

Betty was born September 4, 1933 in Catawba County to the late Luther and Morene Johnson Watts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death. By her husband, Max Townsend a daughter Vanesa Fairbanks and two son-in-laws, Timothy Fairbanks and Stephen Bolick.

She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ and retired from Hickory Springs Furniture Company.

Surviving are two daughters, Michelle Shoup of Conover, Pat Bolick of Conover, two sons, Wayne Townsend of Newton, Charles Townsend and wife Kathy of Newton, four grandchildren. one great grandchild, and a sister, Joyce Lewis of Hickory.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 2PM in Hickory Funeral Home Chapel Reverend Dr. Harry Griffin officiating

Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Hickory Funeral Home
